About Us

Meet Us

Ninja Obstacle Challenge was created in Spring 2017, and began as Ninja Obstacle Parties. It is designed and operated by Season 9 American Ninja Warrior competitor, Dan Arnold. Our original purpose in starting this business was to offer ninja obstacle parties for ninja fans. Our family loves ninja obstacle courses, and has been designing outdoor or basement ninja parties for our children for many years. We realized how many friends are also ninjas at heart, and that is when we decided to create an opportunity for all kids (and adults) to party and train like a ninja. We have since grown, and now offer open gym hours, classes, birthday parties, and mobile events (competitions, church, school, community events, etc.). Being parents of five children, we understand the importance of keeping kids active and healthy (especially the active part!), all at an affordable cost. This is kept as a priority in our services and pricing. Over the years of living the ninja life, we have become the ultimate ninja warrior family, and we love it! We enjoy sharing our dream, and bringing ninja obstacle courses to the Dayton area. Come see what our gym is all about and enjoy the family atmosphere.

Meet Dan Arnold

Dan grew up in the Dayton area, graduating from Tecumseh High School. He comes from a big family of 7 active and competitive kids, who grew up creating obstacle courses and doing
parkour before these sports were well known. He played soccer and wrestled, and earned a
black belt in Tae Kwon Do. Dan combines his years of experience, discipline from martial arts,
and his passion for obstacles to train the next generation of ninja warriors.

Dan doesn’t just love creating obstacles, he also actively trains and is constantly pushing himself
to the next level. Dan had the awesome opportunity to compete on Season 9 of American Ninja Warrior.  He made it to the Cleveland Finals (top 30 out of about 120 competitors move on to the city finals), and the very last run of the night knocked him to number 16 (the top 15 compete in Vegas). There were only two Ninjas that completed the course, the majority (if they made it that far) fell right where Dan fell on the nail clipper. It was an intense couple of days competing, but the opportunity of a lifetime! Dan was able to complete the obstacles that he
always wanted to take on such as, the rolling log, warped wall and salmon ladder. Our whole
family had a blast in Cleveland and are hopeful to compete again.

Dan married his high school sweetheart 17 years ago, and is the father of five big and little
ninjas. He squeezes in time to coach their soccer teams, taking 2 of them to the state
tournament 3 years in a row. He continues to work his full time career in healthcare at
Otterbein Senior Life working with the Small House Neighborhoods. It is a very fulfilling career, as he is part of leading the nation in providing a comfortable, homelike environment for seniors verses the traditional nursing home setting.
